Southern Police Supply was started because the owner felt their was a need for a good law enforcement supply store in the Maryland area. He opened the first store in LaPlata, Maryland in 1993, but two years later moved to a larger location in Waldorf, Maryland and now supply the most body armor in the nation. Fire and rescue officer equipment and uniforms were added shortly after, making it a great place for fire fighters, E.M.T.’s as well as police officers.

Southern Police Supply provides access to the best products on the market, selecting products based on quality, reliability and safety. They offer all the duty gear an officer could need for a reasonable price, from body armor to name plates, to uniforms and everything in-between.

Southern Police Supply has a tough restricted item policy as well, making sure that tactical gear and weapons are going to accredited law enforcement or military personnel. Many of the items that are sold require extensive training to use, and could be incredibly dangerous to the user, and the general public if improperly used. Some of the items only available to law enforcement are uniforms, badges, handcuffs, training material, ballistic body armor and impact weapons.
