Safariland police equipment holsters are built to such high specifications that is not advised to use them with custom built handguns, or ones with aftermarket grips. Slight modifications on a handgun with effect the way it sits in the holster, and may compromise safety. It is very important to test a handgun in the holster when it is safely unloaded. Handgun models can change within the year, and while Safariland tries to remain updated on current models and make a secure fitting holster for those models, slight modifications could effect fit, making testing before use essential.
