Police bags come in many sizes and styles to suit the varying duties of a police officer. Some are large and designed to carry big, bulky equipment such as boots and helmets. Others are smaller for certain electronic equipment or other paraphernalia police need to use while on duty.

Police bags often are made with many compartments and storage places in order to keep the officer organized. They will be of varying sizes, designed to be able to accommodate any need of a police officer. Most compartments are equipped with zippers for easy access, but they can also use hook-and-loop or snaps and buttons for closure.

Police bags are usually made of sturdy and durable material. They aren't limited to use by police only, and other emergency and rescue workers such as firemen, EMTs and military personnel use them. Most often police bags are black, but they can come in different colors and styles.
